This memorial is in the foyer of the Micklegate Methodist Church, Pontefract, a church in the Aire and Calder Methodist Circuit. It was rescued from the old church which was destroyed by fire in 1965. The 'Tanshelf' mentioned was a small Primitive Methodist Church in the town , described by the contributor as an 'offshoot' of Micklegate.
