Tin Badges

By Chris Hancock

Here is my small collection of JMA "tin" badges. The smallest one is actually brass and enamel not unlike the MAYC scallop shell badges of old.

I have seen the same badge design but in "tin" format but forgot to bid for it!

I have added a larger version of this as it really is a beautiful badge.

If anyone has any other style of badge issued for JMA I would be delighted to hear about them and as always a picture would be brilliant.

Any information on the badges - who designed them, why they were of a particular design and an idea of dates for the badges would also assit me in trying to make sense of the timelines for "rewards and publicity" in the history of JMA work.

Thanks very much.
